Obnoxious Chinese Movie

There's this Chinese movie/legend about some dude whose goddess mom married a human so she was going to be punished by being trapped under a mountain for a really long time. So the dude decides to save her. I saw the cartoon movie when I was littler. Well, they've been showing a long "real people" version of the movie thats been "a bit" changed from the story. So a whole lot of people die for the stupid dude (I'm gonna call him Obnoxious for now), just so he could save his mom. I was all annoyed because I hated Obnoxious from the beginning and now all these people die for him and he's not even worth it! (btw he looks like a girl and he talks all dramatic and annoyingly and hes just really obnoxious! hence, my nickname for him) So I was all complaining about the stupid movie and guess what? All the people who died for him just came back to life! Do you know how stupid that is? URGH! It just bothers me SO much, especially that I can't complain about people dying for a worthless dude anymore!!!
